- Previously married to George Dominic Scofelia. Dom died in 1931 and is buried in Galveston. Matilda is on the 1920 and 1930 census records with him, in 1920 with 3 Thompson children. Their father is Royal C Thompson and the family lived in San Antonio in 1910. Matilda and Royal married in Vigo County (Terre Haute?), Indiana, 9 Apr 1902. She had a sister named Hilda. The 1900 census shows Hilda living with a widowed sister and an older brother and younger sister, no Matilda. Her father is Conrad Ascherman or Asherman. None of this has helped me to find out what happened to her. Royal died and is buried in California.
