• Notes

  There is an account of an Indian attack which says: "In 1780, the Indians came suddenly upon Andrew Armstrong and took him prisoner with his oldest child and Nancy Bundy. His wife who was enceinte, concealed herself under the bed and escaped." I do not know if this is our Andrew but it occurred in the valley of the Susquehanna. He probably died in Kentucky.
