Lela Jordan of Greenville, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Service was Friday, Dec. 9, at the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Ratliff officiating. Interment will be held at Sturdivant Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Lynch Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 19, 1916, in Bryan, Texas, to Maud and Benjamin Atkins. She owned a beauty salon in Mineral Wells. Lela was a member of the Vansickle Baptist Church. She was active in her Sunday school class and bible study class until her health prevented her from attending. She is survived by her sister, Rachel Lucille Tyson; daughter and son-in-law, Sam and Janis Minter of Greenville, Texas; son, Jackie M. Hamilton of Barry, Texas; daughter, Lou Hamilton of Greenville, Texas; three grandchildren, Linda and husband James Jones of Greenville, Texas, Kayte and husband James Zbikowski of Inez, Texas, and Carl T. Minter of Greenville, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Michael and Kellie Lowery of Greenville, Texas, Jenica Jones of Greenville, Texas, Virginia L., Wayne A., Thomas F. and Timothy A. Zbikowski of Inez, Texas; great-great-grandchildren, Morgan and Lexie Lowery of Greenville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, B. F. Franklin Atkins and Maud Ivey Legg Atkins; brothers, Claude J. Atkins of Van, Texas, Earl B. Atkins of Long Beach, Calif., R. C. Atkins of Beaumont, Texas, Lynn C.
