7703	There seem to be a lot of coincidences between Robert Thomas Neal and Robert Gant Neal. The only record I find under Robert Thomas Neal is the marriage record. All others are under Robert Neal. However, his parents have the same given names as Robert Gant and Robert G is also married to a Hephzibah. It's possible they are the same person but I found two birth records with different dates, Robert G was born 2nd quarter, 1853, and christened in Stow Bardolph. Stow isn't far from Wimbotsham and the villiage is partly in the Stow Civil District. So it's possible that the birth record from 1851 is an older brother and Robert Gant is actually Robert Thomas Gant Neal. But Robert Neal, born 1853-54, son of Benjamin and Lucy in Wimbotsham, has an older brother named Thomas, born 1851 in Wimbotsham. I'm fairly certain these are the correct census records because Robert always indicates that he was born in Winbotsham and Hephzibah in Wereham but the age is always incorrect for the Robert born in 1851 in Wimbotsham. I find no census records for Robert born in 1851 Wimbotsham, nor do I find any for Robert born 1853 in Downham (Robert G). Robert G died in 1905 in Malling and is listed as the father of Ethel May Neal, christened in 1898 in Wateringbury. J. Lea, the Commissioner which is word for word as follows: "The heirs of Elizabeth Moore Exparte, The commissioner W. J. M.C. Bain's(?) north boundary line. Then West 40 poles to the South East Corner at Mitchell's 44 acre tract. Then North with the line of the same 85 poles to the Beginning containing about 21 acres by the same, more of less--it being a part of the tract purchased by the said Elizabeth Moore of Henry M. Rutledge, be and the same is hereby divested out of _____ and the said Lot vested in Leatha W. Green the purchaser and the land vested in Sylvains Herman(?) the purchaser thru him and assigns respectively for ever. William J. Lea, the Commissioner will pay the costs of this proceeding for which execution may expire(?), a certified copy of this decree will be furnished for Registration. The last seven who are minors and petition by their next friend Zachariah Payne would represent unto your Honor that Mrs. Elizabeth Moore departed this life in the summer of 1850 seized and possessed (in her' crossed out) of a tract of land containing 21 acres in the county of Sumner and left your petitioners as her heirs at law. The Lethe Greene is also the daughter of the said Elizabeth her husband Greene died some years ago. Your petitioner would further show your Honor that a division of the said land is wholly unpracticable between petitioners and that is manifestly for their interest that it should be sold. Your petioners (sic) would show your Honor that Alexander Moore formerly owned a lot in the town of Mitchellville in Sumner County the greater portion of the lot is in Sumner County it being situated on the line dividing the Counties of Robertson and Sumner's. Petioners (sic) state that the said Alexander was the son of the said Elizabeth the common(?) ancestor and that petitioner are his only heirs at Law the said Alexander having died without any wife or children. Circuit Court of Sumner directing me to advertise and make sale of the tract and lot of land mentioned in the pleadings I submit the following Report. I gave the notice as directed by the decree twenty days before the sale of the time, place and terms of the sale, and on the 30th day of August I offered the said tract and lot of ground at public sale and Sylvanos Herman(?) being the best and highest bidder for the tract of land containing twenty one and a half acres the same was struck off to him for ten dollars & 75 cents per acre amounting to two hundred thirty one dollars 121 cents. For the payment of which I took the bonds of the said Hermans(?) in equal amounts with Thos. Heronans security payable one and two years from 30th day of August 1851. L. W. Green being the highest bidder for the lot and house mentioned in pleadings the same was struck off to her for the sum of one hundred dollars for the payment of which I took her bonds in equal amounts payable in one and two years from the date of the sale with A. Said Commissioner shall have discretionary power to sell said land and lot for cash or upon a credit either at private or public Sale, if at public Sale he will give at least twenty days notice in writing of the time and place of Sale and if upon a credit let it be at one and two years and a lien retained upon the land and lot until the purchase money is paid, taking bond with approved security--the twenty one acres not to be sold for less than four dollars per acre and the lot for not less than $50. Those mentioned are: 1. Uncle Boling King (supposed brother to Rebecca King) and family are well at this time...Nathaniel (?) is living with him. Cummings King(husband to half-sister Arpy Cornelison) has paid his debts... William King (Cummings' brother) is dead... died of a cancer. 2. Charles Boling (possible nephew of Rachel Boling Cagle, wife of Peter Cagle) and family are doing well as common. Agnes, his daughter is married to Robertson Yow (note: likely Elisha Robinson Yow, s/o Henry Yow). 3. Gardner Boling (age 82, b. 1768, in 1850 census, brother of Rachel Boling Cagle)is well and as peart as common. He lives with William Cagle (age 44 in 1850 census, probable nephew of Peter Cagle) yet. I wonder about all these folks in Montgomery Co., NC. The source for the letter are the 1970 Cagle book by Rev. Charels Walker and a 1999 book by John G. Cagle of Little Rock. LDS lists Boling King (1783-1863) as brother to Rebeckah King (1777 NC - abt. 1850). The 2 are among 9 children of Peter and Susannah (Bolling) King. Peter is s/o Johnston King (abt. 1724 NC - Abt 1793). Johnston is s/o Peter King (Abt. 1698 NC- 1763). Also, following back for Susannah Bolling (5 Dec 1764 VA) was d/o Alexander Bolling and Susanna Bolling (16 Jun 1728 Pr. George, VA) who married 23 Dec 1745 in VA. Alexander (12 Mar 1721 Pr. George, VA D: 11 Jun 1767 VA) was s/o Stith Bolling and Elizabeth Hartwell. Susanna Bolling (1728 VA)was d/o Robert Bolling, Jr. (17 Jan 1682 Kippax, VA) and Mary Anne Cocke. Stith Bolling and Robert Bolling, Jr. were brothers. Both were sons of Robert Bolling, Sr. Robert Bolling, Sr. was married twice. One wife was Jane Anne Stith and the other wife was Jane Rolfe. Jane Rolfe was granddaughter of Wanamoaka, who was daughter of Chief Powhatan. Wanamaoka was also known as Pocahontas. Pocahontas was named Rebecca by the English. I know that the names Rebecca and Powhatan follow through many generations within the Boling/Bolling families. 7749	This family is difficult to trace because of the repetitive naming and the fact that so many different families resided together. Ive seen a lot of sources that list 7 children for Russell and Lydia - William B, Emily Ann, Mary F, Sidney F, John Owen, Martha, and Melissa Lydia - and 8 children for Russell and Mary - Joseph A, Margaret, Russell, Charles, Louvinia, Stephen, Benjamin, and Archie. However, I have found no sources online that prove any of these children. I've also found sources that show most of these children to be nieces and nephews, again I find no sources that prove any parentage. If we go strictly with the 1850 and 1860 census records, assuming that all the children are with the correct parents, we find John O, Robert E, Sidney, Melissa, and Stephen who are all older than the supposed marriage date for Mary, and Joseph, Charles, Margaret and Miranda who would be Mary's children. It's possible that our Mary Rigby O'Neal is also a daughter of Bryant.	RIGBY, Mary F (I5562)
7750	This family is difficult to track compared to W R and others. We know Jim and Dora lived with Arch on the 1900 Census so they're easy but there is the confusion as to whether child number three is a daughter named Julia or a son named Frank. The 1870 Census plainly shows Julia, age 1, but the very faded 1880 seems to show a son named Frank, age 11. I can't find a trace of either one of them. Willie is only present for the 1880 Census, age 9, and then he, too, disappears; there are simply too many Williams, Willies and Willises to track.	WILLS, Archibald (I3689)
