Mrs. Wills was a member of the Church of Christ, having joined in early life, and was a true Christian. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a loyal wife and helpmate and a dependable, considerate friend. She had frequently visited her sister, Miss Susie Taylor, and other relatives here and was highly esteemed by all who made her acquaintance. She was ill seven days from the effects of a stroke and passed on Wed. October 2, 1940. Pallbearers were Louis and A. D. Fisher, M. L.Singleton, Chester Speck, J. R. Cook and Hensberry Adam. 4764	Looking for parents of John Gibson who lived in Warren County, Ga. from early 1790's to mid 1820's and died in Campbell Co., Ga. in 1829. His children were Nancy married John Gorman, John Jr. married Frances "Fanny" Flewellen, Churchill, Henry, and Sarah married Isaiah Tucker. In 1902, a great-granddaughter published that he was son of Gideon Gibson, but that doesn't seem to work. He appears to be the brother of the Churchill Gibson who died in Warren Co., Ga. in 1805. Any information would be appreciated. I'm from Nancy's (who md John Gorman) line...all your data seems to jive with what I have...I too had some doubts re: the reference to John Gibson being son of Gideon, but found in the Habersham Chapter DAR Book of 1902 that you refer to that the gr granddaughter referred to both Gorman and Gibson family Bibles as well as her memory (she was born ca 1830)...I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt since she was a lot closer to the events than we are today. 4774	Louise W. Lemire Garibaldi Louise W. Lemire Garibaldi, 88, a lifelong resident of Galveston, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 13, 2006. She loved to cook, entertain, and spoil her grandchildren the most. She also loved gardening, bowling, and bingo. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 880. She retired from G.I.S.D after 22 years of service as a cafeteria manager. She was preceded in death by three spouses: Fred E. Lemire, Sr., Jack S. Walters, and Robert S. Garibaldi; three brothers: John W. Holzworth, Jr.; Edwin L. "Eddie" Holzworth of Galveston; and Elmer A. Holzworth of Texas City; and one sister, Clara Hayman, of Houston. She is survived by two sisters: Hanna Nelson of Cleveland, Arkansas; and Carolina "Lena" Sample of Santa Fe; three loving sons: Patrick and wife Patricia of Texas City, Fred and wife Monica of The Woodlands, and Don and wife Anne of League City; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 16th, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The family will receive visitors for 5:00 until 6:30 pm. Tuesday, August 15th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church in Galveston.
